I’m replacing my totalled 328i with a 2010 135i m sport 6MT.

Kinja'd!!!

The Vin isn’t recognized by the nhtsa recall database because it’s a us spec car owned by military overseas and therefor never been registered in the states.

I think I can still call bmw directly to see if the recalls was done, but does anyone know for sure?

Vin is WBAUC7C54AVK81116

Black wheels aren’t stating on, fyi. They’re not very nice anyway.

Sounds excellent. Congrats. Is this car going to stay overseas or are you bringing it stateside?

You can just google BMW VIN DECODER

Will you be able to import it, though? Is it US Spec?

I tried to run the VIN for you. It wont pull a vehicle history from Carfax or Autocheck for the car.

Yea it’s US Spec. There’s a small and kinda weird second hand us spec vehicle market here. It’s mostly the automatic versions of good German cars. But I found a manual!

I had a suspicion it wouldnt. BMWUSA doesn’t even recognize the VIN. It’s a strange but awkwardly common problem to have on cars that were sold us spec but in europe. Thanks for looking for me though! Just wanted to be sure.

It is weird here in Belgium, too. I assume you're in Rammstein or similar?

No problem. Not sure how useful it will be to you, but here is an Autotrader Market report for similar cars across the US. The prices listed are auto-trader trade in marketplace guarantees. Retail pricing should be approximately $3500-$4500 higher.

Sweet. Good info for sure. I’m trying to haggle a bit but I’m one of 4 looking at it. No one else so far could get approved though which seems sad for them.
